Service Description

This is your chance to talk through some things that may be weighing on you, whether it’s your child being misunderstood at school, falling behind, acting out, or simply not thriving. We’ll look at the landscape around your child - what’s working, what’s not, and what might be quietly getting in the way. Together, we’ll tune into what their behaviour is telling us and shape calm, realistic steps you can take next, whether that’s communicating with the school, adjusting things at home, or simply seeing your child’s challenges through a clearer lens. Best for: Parents who are noticing something isn’t right and want clarity, language, and support to move forward. Perfect if you’re not sure how big the problem is, or whether it’s “worth” raising with the school (spoiler: it is). Package Includes: A phone consultation (60 mins) tailored to your child and circumstance. A chance to talk openly with someone who understands  3 pdf resources (sent 24-48 hours after our chat) that will help you make the next move. These might include: a roadmap forward, an email template for the classroom teacher, a checklist for home and school, relevant information to feel better educated and empowered to make changes. Please note: This package does not include ongoing mentoring, written summaries, or school correspondence initiated by me. It’s a one-time consult designed to offer clarity and next steps. If you decide after our call that you’d like more support and choose to purchase a longer-term package, the $190 consultation fee will be credited toward that package. What we might talk about: * What advocacy means and why it matters for your child, even if they don’t have a formal diagnosis. (If you’re here, your child likely needs some form of advocacy. That doesn’t mean things are “bad enough”, it means something isn’t quite working, and your voice can help shift that. Advocacy isn’t an overreaction. It’s a way to gently name what your child needs.) * How to know when it’s the right time to contact the school (and when to wait) * How to advocate for your child without being “that” parent * How to prepare for a school meeting (what to bring, what to ask, what to say) You’ll leave the call with a calmer sense of what to do next. If you have any questions or want to know if this is the right fit for your family, feel free to reach out. I’d love to hear from you. katrina@mrssiegel.com.au

I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live and work, the Gundungurra people, and pay my deepest respects to Elders past and present.

I recognise that First Nations people have been learning on this Country, teaching children through story, song, movement, and connection for tens of thousands of years.

This work of listening to children, making space for their strengths, and honouring their ways of knowing walks in the long shadow of that wisdom. I hold deep gratitude for it.
